Young people

Learning and sharing heritage across the generations.

Clee Hill Community Academy, the local Primary School, have worked with the project to tell the stories of local families who have come together at St John’s for generations. They worked with their families to look in lofts and in old photo albums to uncover their connections to the area’s history. These stories are now on this site and available at the church on our new Info Point system.

They also worked with local artists to create some of the artwork on this website! The Rota Kids from the school have helped build bug hotels and set camera traps to see what wildlife visits our churchyard when no one is looking.

Family friendly events have helped to find out more about the natural world and help us support wildlife in the churchyard. Families searched our wildflower landscape to identify and count the species supported there.
