The project team were delighted to appoint Sid Peacock as Clee Hill’s songwriter in residence.

Sid has been working with local communities to research and write new pieces of music which celebrate this unique place and its people. Twelve months of careful research, composition and rehearsal with local singers and musicians are leading to a series of performances. These new songs will showcase the character of this area but also the talent of its people.

Lucas, a photography student from Ludlow College, has followed the process of creation and captured the events in a series of images which form a touring exhibition.

Pupils from Clee Hill Village Academy have written two songs with Sid and Cleobury Youth have begun new compositions which explore growing up around the hill today. Sid’s workshops help young people articulate their stories and understand the creative process.

Sid is seeking local musicians and singers to join the project for a final performance at St Laurence’s, Ludlow. To find out more, use our contact us page.
